Anna Morgan MBE

Independent Consultant and Coach

I am an Independent Consultant providing; Consultancy for Workforce Transformation, Coaching for Leadership Development, and Coaching with Trauma informed approaches. Prior to setting up my own business I was Director of Workforce for the Norfolk and Waveney ICB for just over 3 years until April 2022.

I am a Registered Nurse, with a BSc Hons in Gerontology and an MA in Leadership for Change. I have over thirty-five years’ experience in nursing mainly in the NHS, five years working in the private Care Home sector and two years in the Department of Health.

I was Director of Nursing and Quality at Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust, for nine years prior to my role as Director of Workforce, and I was delighted to have contributed to enabling the Trust to gain an Outstanding CQC rating in 2018, the first community trust in the country to achieve this. I was awarded an MBE in the 2019/20 New Year’s Honours for services to Nursing.

My passion throughout my whole career has been about making a difference to the lives of other people, and as a nurse I was privileged to work with many people at the most vulnerable times in their lives. I was absolutely amazed and inspired by the strength of the human spirit, many of my patients suffered life changing events and I was so humbled by their determination and how the smallest things could make such a big difference. I worked in partnership with my patients and their families to ensure that they achieved what mattered to them the most as part of their rehabilitation. When I reflect back, it was the trusting relationship, listening, taking time, respecting, encouraging and empowering approaches that made the real difference in the success of the rehabilitation. It wasn’t long before I was using these approaches in my roles as a leader and manager and saw the impact this had on how people performed in their roles.

Since undertaking Coaching training in 2007, I have further developed my approach to offer a holistic, emergent and flexible style of coaching to respond to the broad range of client needs. In my NHS coaching work, I have provided support for career development, to improve performance and to provide support for people who feel stressed, bullied and burned out. In the last 3 years I have undertaken additional training to offer trauma informed approaches to my coaching practice. This enables me to support people with childhood trauma, mental health & emotional difficulties.

I am married (35 years) and have two sons and one granddaughter. I enjoy vigorous walks, reading, yoga and nature.
