Dr Hazel Stuart
Medical Examiner & Consultant Anaesthetist and Critical Care Medicine
Dr Hazel Stuart MBBS, DRCOG, FRCA, FICM was a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Intensive Care Medicine at the James Paget University NHS Foundation Trust in Gorleston for 23 years, and Medical Director for the Trust 2018-22.
She has had an interest in leadership for many years and has held a variety of posts within the Trust including Transformation Lead, Deputy Medical Director and is also a Caldicott Guardian prior to the Medical Director role.
She retired partially in 2023 and now works as a Medical Examiner at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn, as well as vaccine and educational work at James Paget Hospital, and also retains her interest in hyperbaric medicine.
In 2016 she completed the Nye Bevan programme and received a NHS Leadership Academy award in Executive Healthcare Leadership. She has an interest in reflective learning and collaborative working and has been an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of East Anglia.
